Corporate Governance Research Survey

January 2025

Directors of private, for-profit organizations are invited to participate in a groundbreaking research study on corporate governance practice in private companies. This study is being conducted through a partnership between the Private Directors Association and the New Governance Lab at the W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University.

This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to advancing corporate governance in private companies and equipping leaders with the tools to navigate the evolving business landscape. As the only research study of its kind that we are aware of, we expect the results to be both insightful and valuable.

The electronic survey linked below is designed for individuals currently serving on advisory or fiduciary boards of privately held companies and will take about 15 minutes to complete. The responses of those choosing to participate will be kept strictly confidential and will be included in a final research report in aggregate form only.

To thank participants for their contributions, survey respondents will have the option to provide their contact information at the end of the survey. Those who choose to do so will receive a summary of the compiled results.

This survey will only be open for a limited time, so we encourage directors to complete it by the end of January. If you wish to participate, please do so through this link: NGL/PDA Survey
